TERMINATION OF THE WEBGARDEN SERVICE

After much serious deliberation, we have decided to terminate the Webgarden web hosting service. As we value our long-standing cooperation, we would like to make this situation as easy as possible for you. We have, therefore, written a brief guide telling you what to expect and how to proceed. Please pay attention to it now.

1. I have a website with Webgarden
Websites created via our platform will be operational until 31 March 2023. After this date, they will be deleted and the content will be unavailable. Please find a new web hosting service to create your website with or transfer your current website to. You can use one of the external tools available such as www.cyotek.com to download the full content of the site to your computer.
2. I have an email account with Webgarden
Email addresses will be deleted just as with the websites after 31 March 2023. We recommend that you create a new email address in advance so that visitors and customers can still contact you after the Webgarden service has been terminated. Webgarden does not offer the option to back up or simply download all emails to your computer.
If you have an email created at your own domain address, it will automatically transfer with your domain. (See point 4 for more information on domain transfer.)

3. I pay a tariff for a website or email account
If you have a Silver, Gold, or Platinum plan, you will be refunded a pro-rata amount for the period after 31 March 2023. Payments for plans expiring before that date will not be refunded.
4. I pay for my own domain
If you are paying for your own domain with us and want to use it after 31 March 2023, we recommend that you look for a new web host or domain registrar to transfer your domain to now. If the domain is registered directly to you, you can wait until next year to transfer it. However, if the domain is registered to R2B2 a.s., which operates the Webgarden service, you will need to change the domain owner to a person by 30 June 2022 at the latest.
In this case, please send a request for a change of domain owner to us by 31 May 2022 at the latest. In the email, please include the domain name and the contact details of the person to whom the domain will be transferred: name, surname, address, telephone number, and email address. We will then tell you what to do next.

How do I find out if the domain is registered to me or R2B2 a.s.?
You can find out who holds the domain using, for example, the server www.whois.com. If you are still unsure, please contact us and we will let you know.
How do I transfer the domain?
For information on how to transfer a domain, please contact the company you have decided to transfer the domain to. They will give you the necessary instructions and advise you on everything.
